Firefighters worked to rescue livestock from a burning barn in Suffolk last night, but were unable to save three lambs.
Two crews from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service attended the blaze at a farm off All Saints Road in Creeting St Mary around 11.10pm on Saturday.
Straw within a barn measuring 20 metres by 40 metres caught alight.
The farmer used their machinery to help prevent the fire from spreading further by moving straw.
While most animals were safely removed from the barn, a spokesman for Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service said three lambs died as a result of the blaze.
Firefighters wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the flames using two hosereel jets by 12.30am on Sunday.
During a separate incident on Sunday, Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to tackle a blaze at a play area within a forest off Brandon Road, Mildenhall around 12.35am.
Two crews attended and put out the fire within 20 minutes.
Both fires are not believed to be suspicious, the brigade spokesman said.
