There will be an invasion of Bury St Edmunds golfers and supporters at Rookery Park on September 10.
The West Suffolk club has reached the finals of both the Hambro Cup and the Tolly Cobbold Cup which are to be played at the same venue.
Bury’s Hambro team will meet Gorleston with a 9am start. Their Tolly players will start half an hour later against Ufford Park.
The sunny conditions were ideal for the semi-finals.
Bury St Edmunds were three up against Brett Vale at lunch at Haverhill. Alan Ngai and Joe Hanlon of Brett Vale beat Craig Nurse and Mike Greener to keep their chances alive.
Nick Stinson and Nick Davis won for Brett Vale in the afternoon but Bury controlled the other matches to run out winners by 11 holes.
Gorleston made a slow start against Haverhill at Diss but warmed to their task and were two up at lunch.
The final two Gorleston pairs in the afternoon both won by four. It looked in the balance while Chris Duffy and Josh Manser were four down after 14 in the afternoon but they battled back for a half against Andrew Fish and Andrew Underwood.
Gorleston captain Danny Perring introduced Ben Leuty in the afternoon in place of Daniel Crosby.
In the Tolly Cobbold Cup it proved hard work for Diss against Bury St Edmunds at Stowmarket. Bury included teenagers Ben and Max Whittaker and Edward Pomeroy, a sound policy.
Diss included Charlie Stammers, who qualified as a Tolly player at the start of the season, but now holds a handicap of six. It was tough for him to give so many shots.
Ipswich beat Ufford Park by six holes at Woodbridge with junior Ryan Goodarzi and Tom Worne eight up in the morning.
Ipswich joy was short-lived. They fielded an ineligible player and were disqualified. This was also the fate that befell holders Rookery Park after a 36-0 win over Bramford in the first round.
