It’s nearly Halloween and there is a variety of events across Suffolk this half term to keep your little monsters entertained no matter what their age.
From fancy dress to scary stories, pumpkin carving to ghoulish history walks, mark the spookiest of days at one of these Halloween themed holiday celebrations.
Ghosts, Ghouls and Goings On at Framlingham Castle
October 22 - 28
Mysterious goings-on at frightening Framlingham Castle. Gruesome guides take you on a journey into the puzzling past – solve the riddles and claim your terrifying treat. Dress up for the spooktacular costume competition.

Halloween Treasure Trail at Nowton Park, Bury St Edmunds
October 22 – 30
Follow the spooky trail and collect the answers to the clues to win a treat. Tickets £1. No booking required - just pick up your quiz sheet from the Nowton Park café.
Spooky Spectacular at Baylham Farm, Baylham
October 22 – 30 (10am to 5pm)
Meet and feed all the animals and have some ghoulish fun with activities including pumpkin carving, face painting, traditional Halloween games and a spooky maze... but will you be brave enough to enter?
Adult £7, Children (aged 4-16) £3, Under 4s free
Scaretacular at Southwold Maize Maze - October 22 to 31
Get spooky at the maze with activities including a trick or treat mini maze, cheeky monster main maze, ghoulish pedal go karts, fortune teller witch, haunted house, face painting (£2) and pumpkin carving (£2). Prizes for best fancy dress.

Spooky fun at Easton Farm Park - October 22 to 30
There is a little bit of spooky and a lot of fun at Easton Farm Park this week. See the farmyard animals and get into the spirit of Halloween.
Plus entry is half price, with children charged just £4 or a family of four £16.
Halloween at the Suffolk Punch Trust - October 24 to 31
The Trust will be taken over by ghosts, ghouls and goblins and there will be a variety of games, crafts and activities going on for children aged 3 to 13, including pumpkin decorating and haunted hunts. Dressing up encouraged!
Adults £9, Children £5.
Halloween at Jimmy’s Farm - October 24 to 31
Treasure hunts, pumpkin bowling, face painting, spooky bug encounters and a live action, zombie laser battle for older children (aged 7–16).

Halloween and Fireworks at Stonham Barns - October 28
Halloween costume competition, free face painting for each child, children’s entertainment including magician and Halloween games, family fun fair and refreshments.

Little Fort of Horrors at Landguard Fort, Felixstowe - October 29 (7pm to 11pm)
Enter the Zombie Fortress - following an unidentified infection outbreak in Felixstowe, the ‘’URE’’ (Undead Research Establishment) has been set up at Landguard Fort where dedicated scientists, doctors and military personnel are caring for your infected family and friends.
Adults and Young People (aged 13-18) £8.00 (No under 13s)

Halloween at East Anglia Transport Museum, Lowestoft - October 29 (2pm to 7pm)
Some spooky things are happening around the site this Halloween. They will be holding a witch hunt for children and prizes will be given to all the little ones in fancy dress. The late running of the museum’s trams, trolleybuses and train into the evening will be a chilling experience for all as the woods come alive with the spirits.

Halloween Horrible History Walk in Ipswich - October 31 (6pm)
Discover the darker side of Ipswich’s history - hangings, the plague, bear baiting and grave robbers - on this spooky guided walk. Ideal for children aged 8 to 12.
Cost £4 per person - advance booking essential at Ipswich TIC, St Stephens Church, St Stephens Lane, Ipswich.
