It's been a turbulent time for the hospitality sector in recent years, but that hasn't stopped some incredible eateries opening up across Suffolk.

From fine dining restaurants to cosy cafes, more and more unique foodie spots keep popping up in our county.

Here are five places that have opened their doors in each of the last five years that you should visit...

2018: The Boot, Freston

After sitting derelict for 12 years, The Boot reopened in July 2018 and has been a huge hit ever since.

Known for its mouthwatering roast dinners, it's well worth taking the short drive out of Ipswich along the River Orwell to enjoy some great food at The Boot.

2019: Nourish Cafe, Newbourne

2020: Watson and Walpole, Framlingham

It's no secret that Italian food is immensely popular in this country but, at Watson and Walpole, each dish has its own unique twist.

With a menu that changes every month, there's always a good reason to visit and revisit this wonderful restaurant.

2021: Fields Farm Shop, East Bergholt

Home of arguably the best roast dinner in Suffolk and Essex, Fields Farm Shop can be found right on the border between the two counties in East Bergholt.

Guests with a sweet tooth will also enjoy their time at Fields thanks to the many goodies available to buy from the counter as well as the on-site farm shop.

2022: The Woodyard, Woodbridge

It hasn't taken long for The Woodyard to establish its name in Woodbridge and the restaurant regularly draws large crowds looking to enjoy some of its delicious offerings.

With the smell of wood-fired pizza wafting out into the surrounding area, it is no surprise to see a very busy restaurant in the evenings.
