A former charity shop that closed last year could become a nail salon if new plans put to a Suffolk council are given the green light.
An application for a Lawful Development Certificate to transform the former Cancer Research charity shop in Old Fox Yard, off Ipswich Street in Stowmarket, was submitted to Mid Suffolk District Council earlier this week.
The plans state the shop, at Unit 9, could potentially become a nail bar with a new tenant lined up.
The Cancer Research charity shop closed in November last year.
The Old Fox Yard, described as 'Stowmarket's design quarter', is home to a collection of businesses based in a 16th century, Grade II listed building.
The space is home to Fox Yard Studio, which has a gallery and workshop spaces, as well as Pallet Bar, an art-inspired bar which specialises in local drinks.
Modece Architects, the company behind the application to Mid Suffolk District Council, also work from Unit 4 of Old Fox Yard.
