An application has been made for emergency access to a plot in the new Gateway 14 development in mid Suffolk.
The new application is for a non-material amendment to a previously approved application for emergency access to the site, between the A1120 and A14 in Creeting St Peter, near Stowmarket.
Gateway 14 Limited submitted plans for the access to the site, “the largest business, innovation and logistics park in East Anglia”, and permission was granted in November 2021.
The permission sought access to Plot 4000 at the site. New amendments in the latest application, currently awaiting decision, includes additional bollards to the entrance, and changes to drainage, from hard to permeable surfacing.
The park spans a total of 156 acres, and the first business to sign up was The Range, with an application submitted in July 2022.
The warehousing unit for The Range will generate up to 1,650 jobs, and the £200million project will be a key part of the Gateway 14 project.
The Range's unit is under construction and due for completion in November 2023, and will not be open to the general public.
Mid Suffolk District Council will consider the latest proposals.
