A Suffolk pre-school has closed suddenly, with parents only given a day's notice to make alternative arrangements.
Stonham Aspal Pre-school, near Stonham Aspal Primary School on the A1120 near Stowmarket, closed on Friday, September 8, alerting the parents the day before.
It is understood that the pre-school closed due to not having enough staff members.
The news has been greeted with sadness by parents.
Lisa Grier said: "It was a wonderful centre and it was such a shame that it closed overnight because they hadn't enough staff.
"It is such a shame to have such a lovely facility no longer open, and now everybody is trying to find somewhere else for their children to go and everywhere locally is full or doesn't offer quite as many hours as Stonham did. They offered from 8.30am to 3.30pm.
"In April, we will get free hours for two-year olds and there won't be anywhere for them to go."
The nearby primary school remains open.
