Outline planning permission has been sought to build five new homes in Stonham Aspal.
The 0.35 hectare site off The Street, currently used as residential gardens, is sandwiched between two properties, The Junipers and White Lodge.
The application is intended to gauge council opinions on the development’s appearance, layout, landscaping, scale, and accessibility.
This new proposal is an amendment to existing plans to build four new homes on the site, approved by Mid Suffolk District Council in January of last year.
Designed by architects Howe and Boosey, plans submitted with the application have revealed there would be three three-bedroom homes and two four-bedroom homes on the site, each with two parking spaces.
Each property would be red brick, with use of render-coloured boarding.
Unlike previous planning applications for the location, proposed access arrangements have been modified to improve safety and increase visibility for cars entering and leaving the development.
A public consultation is now open online and will close on Monday, March 18.
