Plans to demolish four barns to make way for new homes in a mid Suffolk village have been submitted.
The proposal, which has been sent to Mid Suffolk District Council is proposing four new homes to be built at Grassy Lane Farm in Woolpit, between Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket.
If given the go-ahead, four semi-detached homes will be built with each having two parking bays.
Permission to convert the four barns into homes was already granted in 2022 and the applicants are now applying to demolish them to make way for the new homes.
According to the design and access statement submitted with the plans, the proposed new homes will have an "agricultural barn style form and presence" that respects local distinctiveness and the built heritage of Mid Suffolk.
Each new home will have a large open-plan kitchen and living room located at the back of the property ,with glazed doors leading out to the garden.
Access to the properties will be gained from Warren Lane, which already serves a number of homes.
