An application has been made to rebuild a farm building damaged by fire in May.
The agricultural storage barn, dating from the 1960s, in Hobbies Lane, Mendlesham, was badly damaged in a blaze on May 2.
The fire took more than three hours to extinguish, with eight appliances from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service attending.
A planning application has now been submitted to Mid Suffolk District Council by slurry management company Tramspread to reconstruct the outbuilding, which is used for the storage of machinery and equipment as well as for maintenance and repairs.
The new building will be 20.2m by 6.5m, like the previous structure, and will be clad in black stained weatherboarding to fit in with surrounding buildings.
Fire proof materials will also be incorporated for safety as well as blockwork up to eaves height.
A public consultation is now underway and will close on Friday, July 5.
