In the past week, 43 death notices have been published in the East Anglian Daily Times and the Ipswich Star.

Jean Filby (née Ashford) passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 11, at the West Suffolk Hospital in Bury St Edmunds, at the age of 83. Devoted wife to the late Peter for almost 53 years. Dearest Mum to Linda and the late Andrew. Mother-in-law to Mark. Dear nan to Nathan, Ryan, Jay and Donna and great-grandma to Izzy, Mia, Lilly and Poppy. Jean will be deeply missed by all her loving family and friends.

Reverend Hugh Robert Mothersole died in Colchester General Hospital in the early hours of Saturday 20th July. Dear partner of Daphne and loved by all her family. Hugh showed enormous strength and resilience, with the support and great care of Lionel and Percy and others, after a severe stroke four years ago.
