Two semi-detached homes could be built in the empty garden of an existing property if plans before a council are given the green light.
A full planning application submitted to Mid Suffolk District Council in April would see the pair of homes built at Jeffreys in Gipping Road, Stowupland, near Stowmarket.
Applicant Mrs Deborah Balfour has proposed two modest two-bedroom homes, each 67.75 msq internally on the ground and first floor combined.
The homes would be created in the "unkept vacant side garden" of Jeffreys, an existing home within the village.
A design and access statement before Mid Suffolk District Council states the homes would include an entrance lobby with a cloak room and coat storage, a semi-open plan kitchen, dining and living room and access to the back garden.
There would be a staircase leading to a bathroom and two bedrooms on the first floor.
Plans include "simple low maintenance landscaping" of shingle, grass and paving.
A statement to the council reads: "The owner applicants intention is to offer all three modest dwellings as long term let to the private market."
The plans are with the council for consideration.
