A dance show organised down to the finest detail by a group of Stowmarket schoolgirls has raised hundreds of pounds for Cancer Research.
Anaiya, Dulcie, Evie, 11, and Esme, nine, had been hard at work for months before they took to stage at Pettiward Hall, in Great Finborough, on Sunday, September 1.
The young dancers had planned everything, ensuring they had the costs to pay for the deposit of the hall, as well as choregraphing routines and deciding their costumes.
Planning started back in March where the girls were pupils at Abbots' Hall Community Primary school in Stowmarket.
The school allowed the girls to sell handmade bracelets after school to pay for the deposit on the hall.
They raised over £150 from the bracelets which allowed them to secure the space and cover the cost of the 30 minute show last weekend.
Leftover funds went towards refreshments and snacks for attendees of the show who were asked to make a donation on the door of the show.
Those who attended were treated to nine routines created by the girls.
So far the girls have raised over £850 for Cancer Research, with more than £400 being donated through a gofundpage which was set up by one of the parents of the girls.
With the exception of the lighting and some behind the scenes of the show where they recruited supportive family members, the girls have organised everything themselves,
Zoe McGranaghan, Evie and Esme's mum, said: "It's been amazing to watch them do it.
"They have done everything themselves, it is a super proud mum moment.
"They were really excited to do it, they had their hair all done, and they were ready to go."
