Gritney Houston, Spread Sheeran and Declan Ice are just some of the names of the new gritters keeping drivers across Suffolk safe this winter.
A competition to name the 38 new gritters was launched earlier this year at the Suffolk Show with the names unveiled during a recent ceremony in Ipswich.
The gritters have a digital operating system with the latest route map planning software to ensure they can keep the roads safe in the event of ice or snow.
Some of them have been named in honour of Suffolk's most famous residents including Ed Sheeran and Kieran McKenna.
